Jonata explores the possibilities of the California red blend through estate-grown wines from Ballard Canyon in the Santa Ynez Valley. Winemaker Matt Dees works with Rhône and Bordeaux varieties, creating a range that includes Merlot-led Fenix, Cabernet Franc-led El Alma and Cabernet Sauvignon-led El Desafio.
Jonata Todos brings these influences together in a Syrah-led blend whose composition changes with each vintage. Its name means “all”, reflecting the inclusion of nearly every grape variety grown on the property. Dark berry fruit, pepper and savoury herbs meet fine tannins and balancing freshness, making Todos a distinctive introduction to Jonata’s approach to blending.
