Champagne La Closerie

Discover the exquisite craftsmanship of Champagne La Closerie, a micro-cuvée producer founded by visionary winemaker Jérôme Prévost in 1998. Nestled in the northern village of Gueux, just west of Reims, Prévost’s tiny 2.2-hectare vineyard, Les Béguines, is a treasure trove of old-vine Pinot Meunier, with traces of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Blanc.

Prévost’s philosophy is simple: minimal intervention, maximal expression. The grapes are hand-harvested at peak ripeness, fermented in large-format barrels without additives, and aged on lees for 17 months with a modest 2g/L dosage. The result? A Champagne of profound depth and texture, brimming with notes of orchard fruit, toasted nuts, white flowers, and buttery pastry—unfolding beautifully with age.

From his debut Les Béguines (a single-vineyard, single-vintage masterpiece) to the newly acclaimed Extra Brut Grand Cru NV (a Burgundian-inspired blend scoring 95pts from William Kelley), each bottle reflects Prévost’s dedication to purity, terroir, and artistry.

Limited, sought-after, and age-worthy, these Champagnes are a must for collectors.
